SYDNEY MORRIS (RABE)

Sydney Morris (Rabe) was inducted into the Altavista High School Athletic Hall of Fame Inaugural Class on February 5th, 2022.
​
Morris graduated from Altavista High School in 2015. She was a multi-sport athlete at Altavista participating in basketball, track and field, and volleyball. Morris finished her basketball career with 1,096 points becoming a member of the 1,000 Point Club. She received All-District, All-Region, and All-State honors in basketball. Morris is a 1A State Champion in the Long Jump and currently holds the school record in the Long Jump, Triple Jump, and the 300M Hurdles.

She is most notable for her volleyball career at Altavista. Morris received First Team All-District Honors in 2011, 2012, and 2013. She was the 2012 Dogwood District Player of the Year and 2013 Conference Player of the Year . Morris received First Team All-Region Honors in 2011, 2012, and 2013. She was voted the 2012 Region 1B Player of the Year and 2013 Region 1A East Player of the Year. Morris received First Team All-State Honors in 2011, 2012, and 2013. She was voted the 2013 Group 1A Player of the Year. Morris was selected to play in the 2014 Virginia High School Coaches Association (VHSCA) All-Star Game.

She continued her volleyball career at James Madison University before transferring to Liberty University.
