JUAN THORNHILL

2021 HALL OF FAME CLASS

Juan Thornhill was inducted into Altavista High School Athletic Hall of Fame Inaugural Class on February 5th, 2022.

 

Thornhill  graduated from Altavista in 2015. While at Altavista, he was a star athlete in basketball and football. In basketball, Thornhill is a 1,000 Point Club member ended his basketball career with 1,182 points. He was a member of the 2013, 2014, and 2015 State 1A Basketball Team.  In football, Thornhill was the Group 1A VHSL State Player of the Year. He was the Conference 44 and Region 1A East Player of the Year. Thornhill also received the News and Advance's Defensive Football Player of the Year.  He finished his senior football campaign with 1,299 passing yards and 15 touchdowns. Thornhill was a member of the 2013 and 2014 State 1A Championship Teams.

Thornhill continued his football career at the University of Virginia. In 2019, he was drafted to the NFL by the Kansas City Chiefs. Thornhill is also a Super Bowl Champion!
